Bosch / Philips Biphase to OSRD Protocol Converter

The CONV-AG Biphase-to-OSRD converter/decoder is designed to convert Bosch Biphase encoding to Bosch OSRD (RS-485). The converter does not make any changes to the transmission of information or the syntax of the protocol, it only changes the encoding from Biphase to UART-compatible encoding.

The converter has one input for Biphase protocol and two independent RS-485 outputs. Each RS-485 port has individually adjustable transmission speeds ranging from 1200baud to 115200baud, and two operating modes:

1. Byte by byte - after receiving each byte, it is transmitted to the selected RS-485 output without checking the correctness of the transmitted data.
2. Only correct packets - After receiving a packet, its correctness is checked and only then is it transmitted to the selected RS-485 output. Incorrect packets are rejected.

Due to the large number of certain packets in the Bosch BiPhase protocol, the recommended transmission speed for RS-485 ports should not be lower than 9600baud.

This is a product from the 3 series, fully configurable and updated via USB using the Ewimar Upgrader/Configurator software. This allows for the purchase and change of software, making it possible for the converter to be reused in other systems at a low cost.
